Stumbling and staggering along, trying to make sense of life, we are never always right and never always wrong. Recognizing when we are wrong does not fill us with a sense of failure but of humility and the courage to go on, because, at the same time, we also see that we are sometimes right. If we were always wrong, we would give up in despair, thinking that there’s no point in going on. If we were always right we would become arrogant and intolerant.
